When an individual decides that they want to get their body looking great build some muscle there always seems to be the temptation to put on size rather than defined muscle.

There is no need to go for bulk size whether you are a guy or a girl the best look has got to be lean defined muscle rather than oversized bulk.

It's different of course if you want to compete as a Body Builder as you are going to need size as well as definition. Unfortunately these days you have got to think big very big muscles if you want to win any competitions. Body Building is great sport but the average keep fitter does not have to compete with these athletes.

It is normally the men that get tempted to bulk up go for size normally concentrating on the arms chest as their main goals. But the ladies do tend to train things more evenly without wanting to much size.

So it mainly the men that get it a bit wrong because they concentrate on two groups of muscle instead of the body as a whole you can get that undesirable look which is normal torso without any definition with big over developed pectorials huge biceps all standing on to very thin not worked out at all legs. Not a look the women really search for is it.

So do we really need size if we don't compete. It has got to be a body that has well defined muscles that is the best look one that is ripped rather then covered in fat from bulking up. After all later on in life when we get older the more size there is the more there is to drop if you are trim defined there is less to maintain.

Muscle definition as opposed to size not only looks far better that's only according to me as these are my opinions but also it not such a big mountain to climb to get your body toned defined as building huge muscles. Also your clothes will probably still fit you where as if you put several centimetres on your chest or thighs you have probably got to buy lots of new clothes.

It really is up to the individual do you want to train with heavy heavy weights with low reps to get those massive muscles or would you rather be doing more repetitions with the weights being lighter get the fat hiding those muscles burnt off to show off the ultimate ripped body.
